Pelican downs Aardvark.

These pics show that beauty is only skin deep.  

This F-111 was flying at 900m on a test bombing raid over Evans Head, in northern NSW, when the pelican struck the fibreglass nose, smashing the radome, before the bird was sucked into an engine.

Repairs to the fighter are expected to have cost hundreds of thousands of dollars.
