Don't forget Cuba's involvement in Angola. (and their clashed with US aircraft, but maybe that's too long ago to be considered valuable)

how? that was a minor engagement , now besides so what?? i dont think that gave them a lot of war experience

Webmaster:
It put the MiG-23s to the test, taking down some aircraft including Mirage F1s. So I wouldn't say that they didn't have any experience.
