Good things to expect from the F-35 Lighting II Joint Strike Fighter

AVIATOR:
 HDMS for the F-35 JSF

This is the new helmet-mounted display system for the F-35 Lighting II Joint Strike Fighter. The helmet is designed to provide pilots with binocular-wide field-of-view, give night vision abilities and scare enemy pilots at first sight. It was used for the first time last April, making the F-35 the first combat plane without a cockpit-mounted heads-up display in a very long time.

Beyond making the pilot look like a spooky insect the F-35 HDMS is loaded with all kinds of amazing goodies, like extreme off-axis targeting and head tracking "providing the pilot with unprecedented situational awareness and tactical capability." The helmet was developed by Vision Systems International.
Hurray for our side.

Gripen:
Now all the F35 has to do is get into service!

AVIATOR:
Good things come to those that wait Gripe. And it will be worth waiting for.
I believe that there has been a deliberate program of negative information fed to the crappy media about this aircraft as it will be the best fighter in the world in five years time and the mis information is to confuse our enemies both real and potential.

Hurrah for our side.

SukhoiLover:
I don´t agree with you Aviator, no matter how good the F-35 is, the F-22 will always be able to surpass it, at least thats what i think.

About this helmet, it makes the pilots look like an alien, but certainly has some kick-ass technologies.

AVIATOR:
Suck, unless you are the chief test pilot for the US Airforce or someone simular, and only get your information from junk fed to an ignorant media, there is no way of any of us normal mortals knowing the truth of this.
As I said, virtually all of the real stuff is classified to keep our enemies guessing.
