Air International Feb.2011 has article on PAK-FA
« on: March 12, 2011, 04:18:18 PM »

Yup, thats right and i have it, so if someone has questions about it ask them away.

P.S: 20 years from now it will be interesting to see how many wrongs and how many rights it has about the plane.

Another thing, i think this is the first full article on PAK-FA on a magazine, in 30 years how much will this magazine cost? After all we´re making history here! :D

What a good looking plane! I love the use of elastic coverings on the canards, or wing-root flaps, or LERXes, or whatever they're going to be called. I think the camo needs work.
How about photo #3 on page 36, can that really be just prior to touchdown? Looks like a pretty high AOA to this non-pilot.
It needs to get a one-piece canopy, unless the canopy framing has some use related to a helmet-mounted sight or something. Also, I look at the coupling between the flaps and the wing (both leading-edge, and trailing-edge) and see none of the wierd radar-eating contours that the -117, -22, and the -35 have, and I wonder about stealth. Here's a photo of what I mean.

I think I'm more concerned about China's Chengdu J-20 also pictured on that cover.

PAK-FA needs some refinments, but it will be a hell of a fighter, i have no doubts.

I don´t really worry about the J-20, it looks good from the outside in terms of RCS reduction measure, but his avionics shouldn´t be as advanced as those in the Russian or US fighters.

The AoA looks really high, dunno if it was landing :S

When you first posted this, I immediately ordered it. Unfortunately, it hasn't arrived yet, but I'll also be looking forward to reading this.

I'd imagine the J-20 piece being pretty much the same "small news feature" as in the AFM, or is it a full article?

Copy. Too bad. On the other hand, I'm not really waiting for a lot of speculation.

Not really worrying about J-20 yet either. Foremost because I don't think the Chinese will sell it and don't believe in Red Dawn. T-50 on the other hand, we could see that on the market within 10 years.
