Title: F-14 Tomcat - Bye, bye Baby
Post by: Ramon on October 19, 2007, 10:58:39 PM
Hello guys,

As a diehard F-14 Tomcat lover, did I need to have this book. Picked it up today at the
local "Aviation" store, the "F-14 Tomcat - Bye, bye Baby" book. And what a great book it
is, which gives a very good and inside look into the Tomcat world. With 200 pages of
absolute high quality and exclusive photographs and great stories on the mighty cat, is
this a must-have for every Tomcat/Military Aviation fan.

Just wanted to share my opinion on this great book  ::) ;D

Regards, Ramon.

What's the text/images ratio? And with text I mean the info, not the photo captions. I've been under the impression that it's for the most part just a pictorial? Quite expensive one as well?

Hey Niels,

With each photograph you have one accompanied story. The stories are
memories from pilots and other personal that has worked with the F-14.
Indeed it is more a pictorial book, than a information book, but I have already
enough of the information books. And was interested in the memories and
thoughts of the people that have worked on and with the Tomcat.

And the price is not the full jackpot that can be seen on the advertisement
website of the book, around  178 Euro.......
I have paid 40 Euro's, but is not delivered with the special box, remove before
flight tag (Have that already), Tomcat patch (Have that also), etce, etc, etc.
For me it was just the book, and a great pictorial with memories of a great bird.

Regards, Ramon  :)
