Warthog - Flying the A-10 in the Gulf War
« on: December 19, 2007, 12:47:36 PM »
Hello guys,

I'm at the moment already for a few days at home with a very bad earinfection.
But this gives me enough time to read some books, that where on the shelf.

Just wanted to give my review on this great book: "Warthog - Flying the A-10 in
the Gulf War" is an excellent book, which put you on the front seat row. It tells the
story of a few real pilots that have flown during the Golf War, and their absurd
stories and information on this great aircraft. Besides the stories does it also
give almost every information on how to fly the Hog, and what kind of tactics
are used. Besides the F-14 Tomcat, is also the Warthog now my favourite a/c.

Highly recomended book  ;D
Regards, Ramon.

Hey Niels,

Yep, that is the one, a very good read. Credentials and reviews are very good.
But do not completely understand, why a cheap book can not be good  ::)
You know what they say; "the best things in life, are for free"
It was indeed only 11 Euro's, and the book is no hardcover. But in my opinion
are the stories inside more important, than the look of the book.

Regards, Ramon  ;)

No, I wasn't saying that it ain't good because it's cheap, or its looks are crap.

I was just saying 'It looks like it is far from being expensive as well'!

Wooopsss, my mistake  :-[ Must be the antibiotics and painkillers.
If I'm finished with the book, you can borrow it if you want.

Well, it was also my fault.

I have still so much to read, I'd almost wish I was ill.... nah, I wouldn't. No need to borrow it then either, I only have headaches, and then reading doesn't work.

Get well soon!

How are the illustrations by the way?
