Aahhh, the memories..!  :D  My favorite is Top Gun. Saw that flick about 2000 times (1993 times because of Kelly McGillis...). But we dont want to forget 'Blue Thunder'!

Indeed! The memories!

You should add Flight of the Intruder and Avro Arrow. Very good (for aviation movies).

And I can think of lots of bad ones. Behind Enemy Lines, is a recent one.

I still have my hopes up for Fighter Pilot: operation Red Flag. Should be something more decent than the hollywood stuff. http://www.fighterpilotfilm.com/

Have you guys seen that movieclip of french pilots playing with  Mirage F1´s?
They do some real low level flying, playing with their lives. Its really extreme...   :o

Yeah I've seen that footage of Mirage F-1s flying low over a desert, nice and fast. Basically they take off and remain at an altitude of about no more than 20ft. The Kiwis did that a lot in their RNZAF A-4K Skyhawks. When they did exercises with the Royal Australian Navy the Kiwi pilots would fly between the masts of a frigate for fun! Then again, the little Skyhawk is a great aircraft for that kind of flying  ;) There is footage of those New Zealand pilots doing that too, I'm sure its not hard to find on the internet.

I saw it for the first time this weekend. My thoughts at first was that this is some civilian pilots flying around playing with their lives. But i was wrong, french fighterpilots showing off. Very impressing, not the kind of stuff you would see at an airshow.  ;D

Years ago, I saw a french movie about a Fouga Magister suffering a birdstrike. I believe the name was 'Orange is Green'... Anybody remember that one?

Loved Flight of the Intruder, cause it really got into the heart of the matter, and you felt the frustration. Top Gun is good just because of the flying, HATE the sceens with them in the cockpit twisting around like they on a swivle chair! >:(
Battle of Britain was good, not a big fan of WW2 aircraft though.

Should add the Fightin Leathernecks to the list, with John Wayne.

Ha ha,  the twisting in Top Gun. But i saw it again recently and i found something even more annoying. They repeat everything they say! Example:

-Do you see him Goose??
-I dont see him, i dont see him!

Or....

-He´s coming around on our tail, coming around on our tail!

Guess thats the "backseatdrivers" job in a F14 to repeat everything twice, just to make sure that the pilot knows.  ;)
