I'm afraid it is going to be a bad B movie, despite the great footage in the trailer. But compared to 'Stealth' at least the footage is real, they used some quite expensive kit to shoot the scenes, so hopefully they had some money left for poper actors and filming of the other scenes. It is presented by Pathé so hopefully it will appear in Pathé cinemas in the Netherlands, we'd better keep an eye out for this Ramon, it probably won't show long and I'd love the see these shots on a large cinema screen!

Just Military Aviation or general?  For the fighter jocks out there:  Top gun.  But my wife brought home a little movie made by a flight attendant called "The Aviary"  which I'd rank high up there.  It's about comercial aviation (can you guess what I do?)  and it was made on a shoestring, but it's pretty good.  I wouldn't say my favorite, but thought I'd mention it, since it's a little film.  Some great shots in the air, no idea how they did it.  I bought the dvd for a friend at http://theaviarymovie.com  I highly recommend it.

I can't recall Firebirds, someone voted for it. What is it about? How good is it?

Aviary is not really my kind of movie, but if you say it is good I believe you, and when it shows on TV I will try to watch it.

Just thought of another one, although its aviation part is limited, Broken Arrow. Or did someone mention that earlier on? Not my favorite, actually think it is one of the worst action/thriller movies in which John Travolta took part.

I really think Tony Scott should make another fighterjet/air combat movie, without making it a Top Gun part 2 of course! I love his films.

Firebirds is about helicopters, the apache. Dont remember who starred in it. They are training and then fight it out with colombian druglords. Bit of a "Top Gun" but with helicopters. Better then most B-movies out there..

Doesn't Firebirds have a Swedish design aircraft in there? I vaguely remember the jet that the drug lords use... was that a Draken? The stunts they do in the Apaches are a bit unrealistic, but hey: its Hollywood of course

According to IMDB trivia, they were indeed Drakens.

By the way, does anyone know where you can get hold of cool aviationclips or movies of airshows?
