The Red Bull Air Race comes back to Perth, WA, in 2010!

The Red Bull Air Race will return with a new position on the race calendar.

The new dates for the Perth race are Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 April 2010.

I saw only one red bull race. In San Francisco during fleet week a few years ago. They are just incredible!!! Most of the viewing public does not even have the slightest clue of what is going on. But for someone like myself, it is a screamer!!! (It is possible to get scrutinised by the police for being too enthusiastic, and only 2 Irish Coffees were involved, honest, officer)

Tickets are out, though I think most would be taken by now. At AUD$130 each it's not cheap, but it provides grand-stand seating and access to the "pits" after the race. I'll see if I can get some good photos up here afterwards!

The rest of the areas around the river are free public access though!

Do you know any firemen?
Here in SF, fleet week is usually accompanied by a "fire inspection" of some sort on the days in question of the tallest buildings closest to the action. During these inspections, rooftops are scrutinized at length.
It's a good Air Race concept..enjoy!
