The A-330 and a festival of disgusting people greed and lawyer greed

Either one can be used as an emergency touriquet.
Do you remember a China airlines 747 SP that did what was essentially a snap roll while enroute to 'Frisco?
A while ago.

WRCKid:
So would anyone agree there seem to be some issues with the A330's or is it just me?

SukhoiLover:
Well, the fact is that some A330´s have experience some issues related to AOA spikes, however these issues only occurred with A330´s equipped with American made Northrop-Grumman ADIRUs.

In general, the A330 has an excellent safety record with only one fatal accident so far.

An here goes some more facts into the matter:

-Since 1965 there has been 158 fatal events with Boeing aircraft.
-Since 1970 Airbus had 26 fatal events.
-737´s alone have 67 fatal events under their belts, THATS 2.5 TIMES MORE FATAL ACCIDENTS THAN ALL AIRBUS MODELS TOGETHER.

There also another thing, right now everybody is talking about these small issues with the A330´s, but what about the 737´s? 737´s are known for having severe issues with their rudders, several accidents were caused by this specific part of the plane, yet even with the aforementioned statistics which are favorable to Airbus, everybody thinks, at the moment that Airbus are the bad guys.

Its obvious that i don´t mean that Boeings are worse, but its ridiculous to criticize Airbus when the fact is that they have a wonderful safety record, specially when compared with their main opponent.

P.S: I tried to attach a file with the report on the A330 AOA spike problems, apparently we are unable to post compressed files with Winrar, WEBMASTER YOU NEED TO IMPROVE THAT!!

AVIATOR:
When you consider the amount of all these aircraft that are flying in the world each day in all weathers, be it an Airbus or Boeing, the safely record of them all is virtually unbelievable.
The Boeing 737 for instance is the world's most common civil aviation airliner and something like 5000 are flying.
This must mean something to all of us, as when I fly somewhere today I don't even give a possible mishap a thought. It isn't even on my mind and I take it for granted that I will get there.

Its the exact same way with me, its a 1 in 8 million chance of dying, its about 200 times more probable to have a serious accident in our homes than dying in a plane crash.
There are millions of flights each year and only a very small part of them don´t get to its destination. On average 500 people die every year because of plane crash, in the other hand half a million people die in car accidents every year.
