Reconsidering / Flight Forum six months on
« on: May 04, 2010, 06:07:23 PM »
Hello everyone @ the flightforum.org,

It's been about 6 months since the forum moved to its current location and was renamed Flight Forum. The plan was for it to become a great aviation forum on its own, seperate from milavia.net. Unfortunately, I haven't had the time to promote it and carry out all the plans. I don't think I'll have the time soon. It never was the most active forum on the net, but now activity seems to be really low. The way I see it, I've got three options, but I've added two more options for you to pick.

Please vote and/or comment and let me know what you think about it!

Option three will mean the civilian/commercial aviation will be dropped, and a bunch of the other topics will need to go as well.

Taking it out from Milavia was a terrible option in my opinion, it should get back there.

I agree with SL. I think being part of Milavia gave the forum the exposure it needed.

...damn, I forgot to celebrate 5 years on this forum last week :P

That's how I voted too.

Hi !

Even a kid knows that the forum's exposure was highly reduced by splinting from Milavia.

That's why I vote for a step backwards.

But in fact, I could too choose stay things like they are as I'm not a regular user of these pages.

And I think this could not change until I've got internet at home.

Sure, but like I said, the plan was to promote it everywhere.

Thank you for your input, nice to hear from you again.

Well, not many votes, but I'll start thinking about moving it back. It takes some work, so until I'm up for it, things will stay as they are.

Welcome back then. I had to try it, I reread my reasoning at the time, and tbh it still made sense. But there was just no need for it, a site with a forum is always better than just a forum. Here we are back where it started, all good, but I don't expect a massive change in popularity.
