Ace Combat 6
« on: November 30, 2007, 10:19:31 PM »
So, have any of you guys been playing AC6?

I have!  ;D Or should i say, i am playing it. Ok, im stuck at Mission 8 at the moment, but enought of this.

GET THE GAME!!! The graphics are unbelivable, the planes are beautiful, the surroundings are astonishing. The dogfights are fast and brutal. Yes, there is a lack of realism by having 100 missiles and no g-forces. Not to mention this big s.o.b at mission 8 (a flying aircraftcarrier). What where they thinking??

Anyway, i belive the online game will be its strong side. Think about it for a second. 64 players from around the world battling in the sky against each other or in teams. I have not yet played online, will do that later this evening. So i i will come back with a small review of that part also.

Oh, before i forget. If you own a Xbox 360. Dont be afraid to add Aggressor01 as a friend.  :)

See you guys up there, with the best and one of the best.

Been on the move quite a bit. The only AC i can play properly right now is Ace Combat X... :P And i've been stuck to my RTS series a lot. What's the plane selection, Vig?

The plane selection is a bit of a drag. Ok, you have many of the latest fighters, but no Gripen!  :o

This is what im able to fly so far in the game:
F16 Falcon
F15 Eagle
F14 Tomcat
F/A18 Hornet
A10 Thunderbolt II
Tornado GR4
SU27 Flanker
F2 (something)
Mirage 2000
F22 Raptor
Raphale
Eurofighter

Btw, i have tried out the online gaming.  This time it was only me another guy, but it was still fun. Even if we where only two playing against each other we had almost 20 fighters in the air duelling. Human enemies are always marked with red "TRG", just so you know where your main opposition are and dont waste to much time fighting with AI-aircraft.  :)

The AI is ok. Some behave like real aces and some are sitting ducks. But nothing beats flying against another human player.  :)

And if the human player is lousy at the game, then...?

Aw. Sad. Well, looks like i won't have time to play it since i'm rushing around the country like a mad goose these few days. Haven't even been playing any CnC or Starcraft. Any arcade styled quick-game CFS to recommend? I can't stand playing an RTS halfway through.

Sounds great, looks great (saw the vids), but I don't own any console, and there's no PC version right?

Nope, no PC version. Never been a PC version of the Ace combat series. That is a shame because its a fun game and you dont have to think about flying correct. Like an FPS but with aircraft.  :)

Still, i wish the Gripen was in the game. Its a real miss by the developers. But who knows, it might surface in one of the updates later.  :)
