"...The F-22 is a testament to the skills of engineers and technicians from more than 1,000 companies across America," said Larry Lawson, the Lockheed Martin executive vice president and F-22 program general manager. "

This is good. I am afraid that production moves to fast and until the 183 next aircrafts we have little time. Does anyone know when the 1st delivered?

Hi Hornet welcome aboard
The overall cost isn't much higher then a Typhoon really with all the upgrades and goodies added in.   An aircraft that beats six F-15C at the same time daily and knowing the general chuck of sky the F-22 in to, it's and does it all the time.   These F-15C pilots are good top of the line pilots that don't like to lose like any fighter pilot keep that in mind and that train for air to air 99 percent of the time, that's some feat.   Little information is really released on the F-22 internal bay their are/will be many powerful nasty weapons which can be launched from it.

nonpilot is right. Although for an air force that wishes to arm its entire ADF fleet with F-22s, yes it might be a little pricey.
But honestly, if you use the best of the best strategically, you'd have a force like nothing on earth. Oh wait that's the RSAF motto.

Huh, in any case. The F-117 cost way too much and it can only do so much devastation to the enemy. Or say the F-14. Way good fighter. Maintainence cost would probably have made it a much more costly fighter than the F-22 on a whole. You getting my point here?

Welcome on Hornet. And cool, you're from the Netherlands.
