It is as Niels is saying. When all three "flaps" are in the closed position. The jetstream is forced forward through three gaps in the fuselage. One on each side and one underneath.

Viggen:
Forgot to mention. That image of the two Viggens with the four SU27´s. That one was new, i have not seen it before.  :D

SF37 on its low altitude mission.




Salvage operation of a SF37. Crashed into the baltic on 1981-08-29. Pilot ejected safly. Fuel leakage caused a fire inside the fuselage so the engine quit.

It's 6x MiG-29...the Swifts in their old colours. Sorry, the filename is incorrect... I rarely change filenames, because I got all pics sorted in hundreds of directories.
