Which aircraft in your minds eye strike you the most purely by appearance as the biggest BRUTE?

The F14, it just smiles at you and says: Come on you p****! (No disrespect to our female readers, if there is any). 8)

Well to be honest, when thinking of the F-101, immediately the F-105 pops up in my mind as "bruter"
And connection Brute to the A-1, immediately got me thinking about the An-2, although it is not a combat aircraft.
A-10 is pretty BRUTE as well. Ever seen it in a static line? Makes the F-14 look weak and crippled on the ground.
In this selection, my vote goes to the A-1, probably the BRUTEST US prop.

Im sorry that i have to say this. But it dosent matter how the fighters look on the gound, they belong in the air and thats what counts. Up there in the blue skye is where they meet, landing-gears up and with full afb´s. :)

Ok, the gun looks big and scary, but so does afb´s! Something the A10 lacks. ;)
But our dear webmaster knows that i always go for the SAAB 37 package, as always i vote to early and miss the really brute plane. :'(
Btw, recently saw a documentary about the A10. That gun is incredible and the female pilots flying it. :)

I'm between the F-4 and F-105. The F-4, though, has some grace, but the F-105 is literally, an "iron butterfly" as pilots used to call it.
Really brute thrust, and armament!! (I voted wrong by mistake the F-4, though I consider the F-105 BRUTER :-\)

Webmaster, great photo of the A-10 ;D GO A-10!!!!!!!! the A-10 is by far the biggest brute. The GAU-8, the tank-busting missles, flares dont even get me started!! when the enemy gets spotted by the A-10...well...hehe...hes not coming back :D

I would have to say the BIGGEST BRUTE is the A-10 Warthog. What makes it a brute is that the A-10 is a pit fighter - it likes to get down and dirty in the mud - it can definitely dish out a lot of punishment with that GAU-7 Avenger gun, this is its "Iron Fist", and at the same time, take a lot of punishment.
Whereas, the A-10's high-flying, fast moving cousins are afraid to get into the mud and fight.
Mind you, any high speed fighter trying to take on an A-10 head-on, would have to deal with the Avenger gun firing DU rounds at them. So, the award has to go to the A-10 Thunderbolt II - the Warthog, the Tankbuster !!!

Well, I've already chosen one from the list, but if it not from the list, I would certainly say Sukhoi Su-7 Fitter ;D Definitely it deserves a place among the brutes ;)

Yeah, I think the A-10 Thunderbolt II is the most biggest brute. By the way, its nice we all have flags now so we all know what country eachother is from :) Oh, and welcome to milavia Qiel :)

It might have been a model of one... I have no idea. But if it was for real, i vote it for the biggest brute.

Ok, I cant find the picture on the web because it was in my book but look at this and see how easy it would be...this guy can fit in there...maybe he would have to bend about an inch or two but still wow :o

Must be pretty intresting to run one of those engines inside in a testbed. ;D I have seen somewhere on the net, a small picture of the MIG-25 taking off during evening. Very impressive lightshow. :)
