The first one ain't a super, it's a legacy.
Avi, if you want me to send you some discs of shows here, send me a PM.

Only the second and third images are Super Hornets. But if I point that out to Avi he usually goes ballistic. There's no place in this forum for attention to detail. Heaven forbid!

It's good to have people posting meaningful things on the forum that encourage positive participation by other members. He posted a lot of things, but not necessarily encouraged positive participation.

In the interest of keeping this on-topic, however, did you take any more Hornet photos Gripen? We saw one of them already.

Hey, I like AVIATOR,
Hell, he's older than me.
Where he gets the energy and info to post all of that stuff is a mystery to those of us (maybe just me) on dial-up.
On topic-- If I had broadband, you guys would be swamped with videos I've taken. If any of you want discs, send me a PM.
The Super Hornet display at Nellis was an evolution over the past SH demos I've seen, but, as usual, I missed some of the best stuff 'cause I'm like a kid in a candy store at an airshow, (distracted, short attention span and not really paying attention to the announcer) The SH did what I call a "belly slide" at least 2wice during it's display, and also showed some maneuverability that I hadn't seen before.
Airshows are all about MOTION to me, that's why I video them instead of taking those crystal-clear still shots that you all seem to come up with.
The SH seems to be an incredibly capable aircraft, which coupled with a lower RCS and an AESA, seems like it would be a very serious opponent. The SH aircrew are always superbly confident in their mount, almost to the point of subtle arrogance. Kind of like a street racer that's not telling you he's got nitrous oxide injection before you race him for pinks.
Here's a frame from the demo showing the cloud of fuel from the fintip fuel vents being sucked back over the stabilators during it's inverted attitude just after negative Gs, which is why the fuel is being vented. The point is, the cloud of vapor is being sucked backwards by the aerodynamic effect of the stabilators!

I agree, still imagery doesn't capture the moment as well as video can. A video of the attached image would be great to see.
