Japanese Stealth Fighter

Oh my God.. I was surprised. It looks so beautiful.

Looks aside. It has 3d thrust vectoring. (watch the video)

The design of the aircraft reflects those of several American fourth and fifth generation fighters, most notably the F-22

I think US has helped the Japanese.

A mock-up has already undergone preliminary ground tests in France, the report said. Friday's decision by the ministry to push ahead with the multi billion-yen (multi million-dollar; multi million-euro) project means developers will start working toward flight tests, with production in about 10 years, it said. The reports also say that there was a possible involvement of US Lockheed Martin in the development of ATD-X.

This suggests my argument too.

Welcome Icekid, glad to have you here. Pretty cool stuff that 'Shinshin'. Looks like they do RTD&E with a scale model RC plane, pretty interesting.

After Raptorski, here it is Raptor-Li!. >:D

What a lack of imagination. After more than 20 years than the first appearance of the YF-22, i expect more radical shapes....Where did the design it? in a Xerox machine?

Once again, the YF-23 proved to be more than 20 years ahead....

The bird looks cool, there is a resemblance to quite a few fighters and certaintly the F22 is one of them. Hope Japan can give the go ahead.

In My Humble Opinion that the show of the japanese stealth is being made in tradition of cold-war somehow to show your teeth sharpened. untill now we dont hear about that stealth. yes the bird look nice but hey..its japanese. and i think that no one will buy anything that is non- american in this field

Um.. Isn't this thing really really old? More than a year..? Last i heard of it (about a year ago to the month) was that it was undergoing RCS tests..

Aw Valk, the '23 was really ugly...  ::)
