HereĀ“s you chance guys. Own you own MIG, only 75 000 $.
The fighter is found in Poland. :)
-
I wish I had the money to buy it, pay for transportation, bribe local government so I can place it in my front yard of my also wished-for enormous villa with plenty of land for an aircraft museum. ::)
-
So much for that junk? I'd better puy the S Korean F-5, which they were selling for $100
-
Sure if you can convince the Koreans that you buy their T-50 in the future ;) I think the Polish are much easier business partners.
-
Just give me the engine, i put it on my bike. No way im going to be late for work ever again!! ;)
-
With the oil prices of today, you are better off by putting a scooter engine on your bike...
-
Scooter engine wont make it fun. ;) Damn, easier if you would just put wheels on the jetengine and just floor it.. :o
-
That would be fun :o, haveing your own Thrust SSC >:D
-
I'd rather just fly my model F-16 aircraft!! that piece of junk dont even have the wings on it! I'd take it to plug the ejection seat and blast my way out of the cockpit for fun and see how far i go up. If i were u I'd try to fix up the outside by painting it and putting the wings on and cleaning it then take a pic and out it on my computer to put the background as it was flying then send to friends! but thats only if u ask me!
-
forget a jet engine- give me the rocket of the space shuttle! or the X-15
ooh that would be cool
you could out run the cops no problem, just as long as they dont have an AA missiles :o
-
did anyone hear about the F-18 they sold on ebay for 18million US?
catch was you had to build it yourself :'(
-
Missed that... Pretty strange that a F18 finds it way to an open market. Thought avionics and such is a big secret and not for any civilian to own. :)
-
Yes, it was pretty strange, but it was a demilitarized one, every bit of military system was ripped out. I am not sure, but it seemed like an ex-Blue Angles one? Could also just been the picture.
I've also seen an AH-64 on sale on e-bay. Also pretty strange, it was actually cleared to fly as well, demilitarized and owned by some dubious company. But the ad looked like a big joke.
-
Damn!! I was going to buy it!! If only it was the one with the samller tail :P Just kiddin' :P

-
I would even take a MiG-17 in my back yard....oohhh...I would love to have a military aircraft in my yard...ooohhhhh...
-
i ve seen one of those mig before at the local airclub. a guy just bought it in yuogoslavia and flew back to france... before the plane got seized by customs. not cleared yet, i dont think.
what happens to the planes that are not sold? broken down in bits and pieces? any recycling program in place yet? ;)
-
Hey welcome to the forum!
Yep, probably recycled, turned into razor blades or mobile phone components for example.
@ Foxhound21
Most MiG-31s are still flying or stored. They're not scapping those yet, although I suppose several airframes are canabalized for parts.
