I guess speed is counted in so is turnratio and so on, when ingeneers develop fighters. Think it goes under the name of preformance!! ;D

Ah yes, but without SYSTEMS/SENSORS your weapons are useless as well  ;) The Radar proved a to be make-or-break item for fighters many times.

Assuming equal pilot skill levels, it pays to have a more agile, mobile, versatile, flexible and capable aircraft. :)

Dear i know Pilots are the basic tool of Good Fighter but here we discuss

Performance- an F/A-18 in the USMC or Candian Airforce is "slow" compared to most of the world fighters (at mach 1.7) ,but the avionics ,radar absorbent  exteriors,and agility factors make it quite skilled and deadly- its one of the few world fighter aircraft (like the Tornado) that can dog fight, then bomb a target,, then dog fight its way home
