It is understandable, most people like to look pictures, serial numbers..without bothering themselves how planes fly..

True, but it's also because there's been so many articles from pilots flying versus and in the MiG-21, sure they are experiences/claims, not the fact-based theory. But because of that, I don't feel the need to explore the subject further, and I don't have time for it. So much reading still to be done, unopened books everywhere here!
