The Gripen is such a sexy bitch!  ;)

I like the red Croatian one

Reece, if you added your vote to the Rapto..It'd still lose  ;D

I did add my vote to the F-22, that was a point I raised earlier. F-111 C/C also voted for the F-22, yet it currently only has 1 vote as opposed to the 3 it should at least reflect.

Voting for something that isn't the most popular isn't what matters. It's voting for your choice that matters. ;D

I heard somewhere that a Gripen pilot said that because of the relative lack of power, a Gripen couldn't keep up with an F-16 in a turn.
The Gripen NG should take care of that problem, no?

20% more thrust, but weight increased too...

That's why I didn't vote for the Gripen, first get some sales on that NG and get the new radar in, then it deserves a second plane of the year title.

I voted for the Flanker, because of its deliveries to Venezuela, Malaysia and Algeria (okay, two factories, not fair). And the first flight of the new Su-35, and second prototype as well. And Indian Su-30MKIs debut at Red Flag.

I didn't vote for the F-22, although this year I got really close to voting for it, because it didn't participate in Red Flag when the Su-30MKI and Rafale were taking part.

Not sure why it got locked, it's not Jan 31st yet. Perhaps one of the moderators (incl. me) accidently locked it.

The reason i voted for the Gripen...again. Is because i belive they have done an outstanding job on promoting and trying very hard to make deals during the year. Ok, a few set backs occured, which is why i almost voted for the F-22. But as it is now, i can only see a brighter future for Gripen then the F-22.  ::)

Of course it did a good job this year, and the F-22 is starting to grow on me. But i still see it as an veeeery expensive futuristic toy for countries with too much money who wants to show off.   ;D

Hello Viggen
I don't see as a futuristic toy for the United States to show off it's progress.  Typhoon's are a $100/120 million dollar per aircraft are the countries unloved in that showing off? I rather spend the added $40/60 million per and not be seen on radar, nothing wrong with being the best or the hardest to lock onto.  (smile face)

That came out a bit wrong. Those words were only meant to mess with Raptor a bit.  :) But still, you have to agree with me that it is a very expensive project.
