On October 3rd, 2007, they signed the order, however not for 155 engines, but just 65. So only 30 of the 70 F-15S Eagles might be re-engined. Delivery of the engines to commence in 2008.

Sweet. First Fleet to re-engine the F-15s in an overhaul. They must be seriously into pure-blooded hardware. They have downgraded avionics and radar, etc. Wierd.

How nice! I always wondered how a F110 Eagle stands up against a F100-PW-220. I bet it leaves it behind both in acceleration and turning fight. Add to this birds a little VISTA technology and say goodby to Flankers.........(the older versions).....
