If the Cat is really big, then what is the Flanker?  Pretty and petite?

Flanker isnt retired. Tomcat is. It had a good run, but its been  "put out to pasteur". i know we will all remember it, and it one last years, but its time for another one to win.

I am still thinking about it. It's kinda difficult, because I wanted the Gripen to win last year when it had all its firsts. But then the Tomcat won, one year before it's retirement. So basically the Gripen should have won last year, and the Tomcat this year. So maybe I will have a quick go through all the news of this year, see if there is another type I can put my vote on. The Flanker series have been doing quite good, new contracts/decisions (Mexico, Venezuela, Russian Air Force), upgraded Su-27BM entered service, Su-34 rolling off the production line, China interested in the Su-33, and also the Su-35 seems to make a chance again in Brazil. But maybe 2007 will be even better for it, with deliveries starting to Malaysia and established in service with the FAV. Then there's also the F/A-22 which has been rolling of the production line fast this year, filling operational squadrons and attending its first airshows.

So, I'll vote on Dec 31th.

I wasn't here last year, so I had no idea the Tomcat won.  But I will post my vote soon for another fighter.
