The thing why Raptor is said to be so ''deadly'' -is becouse of its ability to outfly almost anything today! Its stealth performance togeather with supercruising and state-of-the-art avionics IT REALLY IS almost unstoppable TODAY (albeit not in future)...You have to understand (that you without a doubt do) that the Raptor is in its own class....And it is the only 5th gen fighter around....

I know i know, but it hasnt actually shot down an enemy plane in war conditions, so how do they know that it wont go spastic when its trying to fight and fly and save the pilot all at the same time..? they havent proven it so its not deadly unto they have proven that all of those put together makes it an unstoppable plane in combat

Probably, but theres a difference for a proper fight and an arranged one.

i hope it gets shot down (pilot ejects of course), seriously, prove to everyone that its a $180m waste of fuel and electrical wiring (that stuff is useful people)

Ok. Basically, you guys have to learn to be a leetle beet less general. All the 'Flanker series' was dumped into a summary 'Su-27 zone', all the F/A-18WHATEVER was dumped into that class of aircraft, and so on and so forth with the F-15WHATEVER and others... Ahm... the A-4SU is a SINGAPOREAN CREATION. The original airframe is by Douglas. Thats all.

8 votes-F-15 Eagle (All Versions)
8 votes-Su-27 Series (All Versions with “flanker”)
6 votes-F-4 (All Versions)
5 votes-F-14 (All Versions)
5 votes-F-22A Raptor
4 votes-F-16 (All Versions)
4 votes-JA-37 Viggen
4 votes-JAS-39 Gripen
4 votes-J-35 Draken
4 votes-Mirage 2000C

As you can see, the two most reputed air dominance fighters ever to have flown in modern aviation take an equal stand, with the F-4s coming in close. (actually those are quite cute) and then the F-14 and the F-22. Followed by the F-16 (no surprise), Mirage (Congratulations, Dassult), and ALL THREE SWEDISH FIGHTERS! Way to go, Saab!!!

To tell the truth, the F-15 didn't get a single vote in the earlier stages of the polling. It was quite scar, actually. Companies that got the most votes (through their aircraft) are:
Saab (3)
McDonnell Douglas (2)

The rest are ones. Thanks guys, now you can go gut it out over who gets thetop position.  ;D ;D ;D

Like that all the swedish fighters made the top ten. Perfect since SAAB is celebrating 70 years this weekend.  :)

Very intresting to see that both the F-4 and F-14 got more votes then the F-16. But i do miss the Tornado, shame it did not make the list.

Great job by the way, Raptor!  :)

I know...I'm sad that I left out the Tornado and other planes...but I couldn't fit them all  :'(

Anyway, Raptor, we don't have to fight over the top position....we know its the F-15   ;D

And I was looking through the first list and saw 8 in IIIIIIII and I thought that had to be the F-15 before even looking at the name and of course it was  :) (no surprise  >:D)

Yes, but I like the re-engined RSAF version better. I like any Skyhawk with the hump behind the cockpit, and I saw a really nice one on the USS Midway museum last month (Turned out the photo I took was nice too!) But I'll stick to the nicest Skyhawks in my region.

(plus I was hoping to gain favour by listing aircraft in RSAF service  ;) ) lol

You were in the USS Midaway too?? My dad went there like 2 months ago!! I am planning to make a report on that, with pics and such :D :D

And about the A-4s, do you know the A-4AR? It has a different radar dome ;)
