August 23, 2007 AD, Mikoyan Gurevich unveiled a full-sized mock-up of a proposed Russian "stealth" umanned combat air vehicle. In other words, a UCAV.
It will be developed to carry two cruise missiles for strikes on both naval and ground-based targets, or alternatively 1815kg of equipment. Weapons would include the X-31A anti-ship missile and the X-31P anti-radar missile, both variants of the AS-17 Krypton.
The layout resembles the Northrop Grumman X-47B UCAV, apparently, and it is intended to be powered by a Klimov RD-5000B turbofan, a maximum speed of 800 km/h and a 1995 km combat radius. The wingspan matches that of a MiG-29 Fulcrum (11.5 m), apparently, although it might look deceptively large.
Flying prototyped expected by 2009.
