Venezuela monitored manufacture of Sukhoi-30s
« on: February 25, 2008, 02:31:15 AM »
Chavez always finds a way to blame the Americans why not the "Swiss Military Procurement International" for putting out false information.  To easy I guess?

Venezuela monitored manufacture of Sukhoi-30s

A team of Venezuelan military officers, headed by then Aviation Commander general Roger Cordero Lara (now retired), visited the Russian manufacturing site of warplanes Sukhoi-30 and inspected the production of the units the Venezuelan government purchased in 2006.

The chair of the Bolivarian Civilian-Military Front (Frecimibol), retired lieutenant colonel Héctor Herrera made these remarks rejecting the information published by Swiss Military Procurement International that the Sukohi-30s Russia delivered to Venezuela "came from the batches that were previously rejected by China's Joint Chiefs of Staff."

"This is a huge lie. This is false. Besides, we have superb relations with China," said Herrera.

Herrera -who traveled to Russia in July 2006 and 2007- claimed the reports "are part of the US campaign to discredit President Hugo Chávez and undermine a strategic alliance between Venezuela and Russia. We are talking about government-to-government sales without agents, and many war dogs were left out."
