I'm sure it cost less then an AH-64 too looks like a winner the only thing I notice is the weight seems much heavily.  Is that because of the metals Russia uses in the construction?   Never felt the AH-64 was faster enough and saw on Wings how CH-47 are faster, a large transport helicopter.  I can't see how Brazil wouldn't pick this helicopter, Brazil's looking over some Russian helicopter now for future purchase.

Yup it looks good. I assume it has the helmet mounted aiming, am I right?
I just wonder how its' engines' heat signatures are. I know AH-64 has some work done on this field.

I think the AH-64 has good shielding for it's engines because I base that on how much it's used in Iraq.   It it was a weakness  this one have been found out by now if SA-7, 15, and I think 18s would have been used more.    To me it's more important how the helicopter is used in combat because they were never really designed to stay in range of small arms and light machine guns for any length of time.   Tactics cause more shot downs then anything there's just too many moving parts on a helicopter to stay hovering for too long.   I can't find it now but I read a good article on how not to use AH-64s in combat when I find it again I'll attached.
