F-15 Outboard wing pylons
« on: March 23, 2012, 04:26:32 AM »
Is it time for the USAF to activate the previously unused outer wing stations on our F-15s?
The most recent sale of -15s to Saudi Arabia have those pylons activated to use what looks like 2 AAMs on each one. And their earlier F-15s are being reworked to activate them as well.
This seems like a common-sense solution to reduced numbers of our own aircraft vs increasing numbers of "potential" enemy's airframes.

I think there'a a lot of the things on the new Saudi F-15SA that we should have.  ;)

Yeah, hopefully, St. Louis is getting experience and tooling to do just that to our planes. (At Saudi expense, hopefully)
