Sad day for Boeing Australia maintenance workers

Just one more step towards ending the legacy of the great F-111. I was offered a job early on after I retired to work for this outfit and I have always regretted it somewhat since it would have meant more time working on that magnificent jet.

I wonder what Australia is going to do with all our F-111s?
They still seem too airworthy to put in museums.
Wouldn't mind on at the Bull Creek Aviation Museum in Perth actually.

They'll keep a few to put on 'a stick' but the rest they'll what we did with ours, send them to AMARC at Davis-Monthan AFB where they'll languish in the desert forever. What a shame, perfectly good aircraft!

I know how these maintainers feels inside. i felt a pain in heart myself when i've performed last PDM on a skyhawk
