Any idea on what Air-to-Air systems Hamas has ?

Hi Sukhoi Lover
Don't you mean surface to air?
I can't see hamas as having anything besides UAVs.
It may have been shot down with one of those newer SA systems (SA 18 or 24) made by Russia, and stolen from Libya.

Hi shawn, long time no see :D
Yes, thats what i meant. SA-18, thats the Igla right? Any ideas about its Counter-Countermeasures capabilities?

Advertised as being more resistent...
But the source now claims this is a video of the moment:

I'd say that's some kind of SA-7 Strela-2. Doesn't look like Igla at least, and don't see any other double digit one that looks like this. It doesn't look like the Iranian ones which are based on the Chinese ones. I think it's just one those many SA-7... It may be some copy or mod, the battery is looking different, which makes sense as they say those proliferated SA-7s have pretty weak batteries now. Is that a wire coming off of it? I'm not an expert on these things, but hmmm seems they've got a solution for the battery problem alright.
But SA-7 downing a F-16, right, they really don't have to go into SA-7 envelope nowadays.... Israel denied it, I'll go with that for now...

Anything is possible of course... it's not like flares makes you invincible.
