Oceana Super Hornet squadron commander relieved of duty by Navy

VIRGINIA BEACH

Cmdr. Raymond B. Worthington, the commanding officer of  Strike Fighter Squadron 143 at Oceana Naval Air Station, was relieved of duty today, the Navy announced. Capt. Scott Stearney, the commander of Carrier Air Wing Seven, cited the loss of confidence in Worthington’s ability to command.

Cmdr. Jake Elzey has temporarily assumed command of the squadron, which flies the F/A-18E Super Hornet..

Worthington had served as commanding officer since February 2007 and previously was the squadron’s executive officer. He has been temporarily assigned to Commander, Strike Fighter Wing Atlantic.

Would anybody know how to research this better I know the source isn't the best.  The charges seem to be very heavy and needless to say destroying this commanders name and rep.  Does anybody know if the USN released information on this types of situations, thanks.
