The Red Arrows, the Royal Air Force aerobatic team, will perform at Langley Air Force Base's annual air show, currently scheduled for June 20 to June 22.
While the British team has performed in 53 countries following its formation in 1965, this marks the first time the Red Arrows will visit Langley.
"The display team includes nine Hawk T1 aircraft flown by pilots from frontline Royal Air Force squadrons," according to a press release. " The pilots perform a symmetrical diamond formation as their trademark."
Langley's air show, called Air Power over Hampton Roads, is free and open to the public.
Other aerial acts, to include the F-22A Raptor, will perform.
Langley gates will open June 20 at 5 p.m. for a concert that starts at 7 p.m., a night air show and fireworks.
Gates will open on June 21 and 22 at 9 a.m.
"Many static aircraft will also be available on the ground for public photo opportunities, and children of all ages will have opportunities to get close to the latest Air Force aircraft," according to a press release.
