US and Bulgaria Air Forces to Hold Joint Drills at Graf Ignatievo Air Base

Ten F-16 fighters of the US Air Force are going to arrive at the Graf Ignatievo Air Base close to Bulgaria's second largest city of Plovdiv over the weekend for the joint drills that are to start next week.

The Bulgarian Air Force is going to take part with fifteen MiG-29 and MiG-21 fighters.

The Bulgarian and US pilots are going to have their exercises in air combat under conditions very close to the real ones.

The first flights have been scheduled for Monday. The drills are going to last for two weeks.

Would not surprise me if Bulgaria is starting its first steps hoping to join NATO.

Many of the countries like Georgia right now are looking to get into the NATO alliance but they having bad luck it seems with the Russians, I think personally its one to watch as It is not going to go away
