A little help please

Does anyone know was there any big difference between interwar fighters and training versions built out of them? I know there was that difference that one had seats for two  but could the 2 seater training version of an interwar fighter put up almost as good fight as the original version?

I'm specially intrested in the Siskin IIIA and Siskin IIIDC
