Sweden is buying 15 Black Hawks.
« on: April 09, 2011, 09:34:22 AM »
The last part of the negotiations of 15 Black Hawk  helicopters are under way. Sweden wants to buy 15 helicopters for strengthening their heli-fleet. Reason for choosing the Black Hawks is because its a tested and proved platform, that can also be used in joint international operations.

4,7 billion Skr have been invested by the Swedish government for the helicopters and pilot-training (they start their training in US this summer). A couple of the helicopters will be operational in Sweden and possibly in Afghanistan within one year from now. All 15 Black Hawks will be delivered and in operation by 2017.
